State Representative Al Williams to Deliver Keynote at 2008 Georgia Black Chamber Legislative Prayer Breakfast


State Representative and Chairman of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Al Williams will deliver the keynote address at the 10th Annual Georgia Black Chamber of Commerce Legislative Prayer Breakfast. The event will be held Saturday, January 12, 2008, 8:30 a.m. at the downtown Sheraton Atlanta Hotel. The theme for this year's breakfast is "Unity Diversity Partnership.

Held annually the Saturday before the legislature convenes, the purpose of the breakfast is to strengthen the bond of unity among elected officials, corporate partners, small businesses, and religious and community leaders from across the state," said Theresa Walker, GBCC Executive Director. State Representative Williams represents the Glynn, Liberty and McIntosh tri-county area and serves on the Economic Development and Tourism, Game, Fish and Parks and State Institutions and Property House committees.


Congressman Henry "Hank" Johnson
Representing the 4th Congressional District will bring the Congressional Report and highlight key issues coming before Congress in 2008 that will impact our small businesses. Congressman Johnson is a member of the U.S. House Small Business Committee.


Vaughn D. Irons
National Director of Housing & Community Investment, Expanding Markets, with Freddie Mac will provide a Business Outlook on the housing industry. "Attendees will receive information on current initiatives and programs impacting small business through reports from congressional, state and local officials," said Anna Henderson, GBCC President.

Reggie Gay is the talented, trend setting gospel radio/TV personality in Atlanta, GA and one of the most recognized gospel disc jockeys in America. In a short period of time his name became synonymous with gospel music in Atlanta via KISS 104.1 and on GLORY 1340. Reggie Gay Inc. syndicates the program in Atlanta on AM 1260 WTJH-weekdays 6am-10am (westside) and AM 1420 WATB-weekdays 7am-9am (eastside). The Athens, Covington and Valdosta GA, Chattanooga TN, and Tuscaloosa AL radio markets will be on board by first quarter 2008.
